Philippe Model Paris presents the sustainable sneaker LYON

The first eco-friendly project of the brand together with ACBC, a leading company in design and production of sustainable products. The idea – and the name – of this project are inspired by the Lyon neighbourhood La Confluence, an industrial wasteland of the city and focus, in recent years, of an impressive, original and attractive sustainable development. It is with this spirit aimed at a democratic urban planning model and a new concept of responsible and eco-friendly urban life that Philippe Model Paris devoted himself to the LYON project using materials derived from natural substances such as eco-leather in corn fibre, organic cotton and recycled polyester.
There are two versions of the LYON sneaker. One made of bio-skin (an alternative to leather with a 60% of bio-based content derived from agriculture waste of the corn industry) and Reptilia, a textile 100% recycled polyester fabric derived from recycled plastic bottles and whose production guarantees a reduction in CO2 emissions of 75%. The second version features gots certified cotton on the islands, collar and tongue – a bio coton using 90% less water compared to traditional cotton. For both, the outsole is made from rerubber – a material that mixes 10% of recycled rubber with 90% of virgin rubber.
