October 2018 - Philippe Model launches the exclusive Esteban Cortazar X Philippe Model Paris limited edition, produced in collaboration with the Colombian designer and presented exclusively during the Paris Fashion Week SS2019.

“I have always liked the idea of playing with the concept of collages of opposing universes to create kaleidoscopic weaves and colours. This concept is reflected in the limited edition produced with Philippe Model where I wanted to mix primary colours and earth tones with the brightness and liveliness of sequins. In this case I was inspired by Salsa music, which is also a mix of different sounds and colours,” commented the designer Esteban Cortazar.

The capsule collection will be on sale from the middle of October in a limited edition in the Philippe Model stores in Milan (via Sant’Andrea 17), Paris (22 rue de Grenelle) and Rome (Piazza di Spagna 19) and through the brand’s e-commerce platform www.philippemodel.com. The collection will be also distributed through selected high-end multi brand around the world.

Esteban Cortazar - Born in Bogotá in May 1984 to Colombian painter Valentino Cortázar and former British jazz lounge singer Dominique Vaughan - Esteban Cortázar's household was always filled with captivating muses, a fearless female presence, music and laughter. He became the youngest designer to show during New York Fashion week at the age of 18. Other international retailers followed suit, and he became a member of the CFDA in 2006.

In 2007 Cortázar moved to Paris to helm the House of Emanuel Ungaro. In 2012 Natalie Massanet approached Esteban to create a series of capsule collections for Net-a-Porter. This process ushered the relaunch of his eponymous brand. Showing in Paris Fashion Week, Esteban Cortázar's signature style has won a cult following and has been confidently articulated through slick, sculptural lines tempered by ease, grace and flow.
